Koby’s Treasure Trail Launches at
Margam Country Park
-
A new interactive family adventure is now available at Margam Country Park
-
Storytelling, animation and gameplay encourage visitors to explore more of the site
-
Browser-based technology means no apps, downloads or specialist equipment are required
This summer, families visiting Margam Country Park can experience the grounds in a completely new way with the launch of Koby’s Treasure Trail.
Created by Panivox, the interactive digital adventure transforms a day at the park into a story-led journey filled with characters, clues and challenges.
Visitors simply scan a QR code on arrival and begin playing on their own mobile device. As they explore different areas of the park, they unlock new chapters of Koby’s story and move closer to recovering his family’s missing treasures.

Turning a day out into an adventure
Koby’s Treasure Trail has been designed to encourage families to actively explore Margam Country Park rather than simply follow a fixed route.
Throughout the experience, visitors must travel to different locations, solve clues and complete interactive challenges to continue the story.
The more of the park they discover, the more of the adventure they unlock.
By combining physical exploration with digital storytelling, the trail adds an extra layer of excitement to the visit while helping families discover parts of the park they may otherwise have missed.
Storytelling built around the venue
Unlike a traditional paper trail, Koby’s Treasure Trail brings together:
-
Animated characters and story sequences
-
Interactive questions and challenges
-
Location-based exploration
-
A continuing narrative that unfolds throughout the visit
The experience has been built around Margam Country Park, allowing the locations themselves to become part of the story.
Rather than pulling visitors away from their surroundings, the technology encourages them to look more closely, explore further and engage with the park in a playful new way.
Simple to access, easy to explore
Koby’s Treasure Trail runs directly in a web browser, so visitors can begin by simply scanning a QR code on their own phone. There are no apps to download, accounts to create or specialist devices to install.
-
Easy for visitors: Quick, intuitive access allows families to focus on exploring the park, solving challenges and enjoying the story.
-
Flexible for venues: Panivox experiences can be tailored to museums, heritage sites and attractions, helping increase exploration, dwell time and engagement through permanent, seasonal or bespoke interactive trails.
